Why Would I Use It?

If you are involved in a dispute or potential legal problem, mediation can offer you an alternative to legal, court, or administrative agency appeal procedures. Mediation is:

  • FAST - Most mediation sessions are scheduled within ten days of both parties agreement to mediate and often last no more than two hours.

  • CONFIDENTIAL - Mediation meetings are private - not a matter of public record as are court proceedings.

  • INFORMAL - No formal language or attire is required.

  • VOLUNTARY - Parties are not forced to reach an agreement.

  • EFFECTIVE - It works!   Parties reach an agreement in 80% of the cases.
